Chandler, Arizona. Microchip Technology released the compact 5071B cesium atomic clock delivering autonomous time keeping of 100 ns holdover for months in case of GNSS rejections.  The solution is delivered in a three-unit height (3U) 19-inch rackmount enclosure for easy mobility.

Microchips’s radiant tolerant (RT) Ethernet PHY family has a new member in its VSC8574RT PHY, an optional approach when modifying traditional connectivity interfaces to more efficient Ethernet solutions. For a simple substitution for a deployment ready RT device, the VCS8574RT PHY utilizes Microchip’s Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) based device. Bob Vampola, Vice President of Microchip’s Aerospace and Defense Business Unit said, “Ethernet solutions are in high demand for space applications, and our COTS-to-RT devices offer increased capabilities with multiport, SGMII and fiber interfaces.”

Chandler, Arizona. Microchip released two reclocker/redriver devices supporting long-distance reliable USB transmissions up to 15 meters and compatible with USB 3.2 Generation 1 SuperSpeed protocol. The automotive EQCO510 and industrial EQCO5X31 reclocker/redriver devices transmits data signals at 5 Gbps in both directions.

PoE switches designed for outdoor use in smart buildings and cities enable services ranging from public Wi-Fi and video surveillance to connected streetlights that increasingly need better reliability and cybersecurity protection. Extending the industry’s family of PoE switches with the high industry-standard outdoor protection for these applications, Microchip Technology has developed the PDS-204GCO switch that adds increased cyber protection plus the redundancy required for high network availability in mission-critical applications with long-distance connectivity. It also complies with the high outdoor industry-standards.
